Free on the NHS for anyone who’s eligible. Most need no appointment — just come in during opening hours.
Dispensing NHS prescriptions and repeat prescriptions, with advice on your medicines whenever you want it.
Talk to the pharmacist about a minor illness or a health worry. If someone else is better placed to help, we’ll point you there.
Bring old or unused medicines back to us and we’ll dispose of them safely. Please don’t put them in the bin.

We work with local treatment services to support people on a recovery programme, including supervised treatment and access to clean equipment. Everything is done discreetly, in our private consultation room, without judgement.
Our pharmacist can assess you and, where it’s appropriate, supply treatment including prescription-only medicines. Whether treatment is suitable depends on your symptoms, your medical history and national clinical protocols — we may advise something else or refer you on.
| Condition | NHS eligibility |
|---|---|
| Sinusitis | 12 years and over |
| Sore throat | 5 years and over |
| Earache | 1 to 17 years |
| Infected insect bites | 1 year and over |
| Impetigo | 1 year and over |
| Shingles | 18 years and over |

Outside these age ranges? You can still be seen. Our pharmacist prescriber can assess and treat many of these conditions privately — ask us and we’ll explain what’s involved and what it costs before anything goes ahead.
These are paid services, not NHS ones. We will tell you the full cost before anything goes ahead, and you are free to say no. Where a service is available to you free on the NHS, we will say so.
We have two independent prescribers on the team, so for many conditions you can be assessed and treated here, usually the same day, without waiting for a GP appointment. If we think you need a doctor, we will tell you plainly and help you get there.
Assessment and, where it is clinically suitable, treatment — including prescription-only medicines. Suitability always depends on your symptoms and medical history.
A consultation covering where you are going, what you need and what it will cost. Please come and see us 6–8 weeks before you travel where you can — some courses take time to complete.
For people who are not eligible on the NHS, or who would rather not wait.
Tests done here in the pharmacy, with results while you wait and a pharmacist to explain what they mean. A test is a snapshot, not a diagnosis — we will always tell you if you should see your GP.
| Cholesterol | Measures the fats in your blood that affect your risk of heart disease and stroke. |
|---|---|
| HbA1c | Shows your average blood sugar over the past two to three months — used to look for diabetes. |
| Thyroid (TSH) | Checks whether your thyroid is working as it should. An under- or over-active thyroid can cause tiredness, weight change and low mood. |
| Iron stores (ferritin) | Measures how much iron your body has in reserve. Low iron is a common cause of tiredness. |
| Vitamin D | Checks your vitamin D level, which matters for bones, muscles and immunity — and is often low over winter. |
| Testosterone | Measures your testosterone level, sometimes checked for low energy, low mood or low sex drive. |
| PSA (prostate) | A blood marker that can be raised in prostate problems. We will talk through what a result can and cannot tell you before you decide to test. |
| CRP | Shows how much inflammation is in your body, which helps tell a bacterial infection from a viral one and guides whether antibiotics would help. |
| Strep A | A throat swab that checks for the bacterial infection behind some sore throats. |
| Flu A and B | A swab that checks whether your symptoms are flu. |
| Pregnancy | A pregnancy test done here, with someone to talk to about the result either way. |
| Ovulation | Checks the hormone surge that happens around ovulation, to help you work out your fertile days. |
| Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:30pm |

Our prescribing pharmacists. Rajendiran Duraisamy and Mohamad Saleh are both independent prescribers. That means that for many conditions one of them can assess you and prescribe here in the pharmacy — no GP appointment, usually the same day. If we’re not the right people to help, we’ll tell you who is.
Need help when we’re closed? Call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk for urgent advice. In an emergency, always call 999. Please don’t send symptoms or other medical details by email — call us or come in and we’ll talk in private.
